No cookies, no tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools. It loads no third-party scripts, fonts, maps or embedded content: everything is served from our own domain.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, the hosting provider's servers process technical data such as your IP address, the date and time, the requested page and your browser type. This is needed to deliver the site securely and is kept only for a limited time. It may be processed outside Switzerland, including in the USA; the provider processes it under its own data-protection terms.
Language setting
If you pick a language, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device so the site can open in that language next time. It is not a cookie, is never sent to us and can be deleted in your browser settings.
Contacting us
If you write to info@swissatmosphera.ch, we process your message and address only to answer you and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Forms (sponsor requests)
If you use the sponsor-request form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company and an optional comment. We use this only to answer your request and to send you the information you asked for, and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Form submissions are received and stored on our behalf by our hosting provider (see “Hosting and server logs”). The contact for any question about your data is info@swissatmosphera.ch.
Membership applications
If you apply for membership through the form on the Membership page, we collect: your first and last name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile or website, job title and company, the name of the member who recommended you, and your answer to the question why you would be a good fit. We also note the language of the page you used. We use this data to review your application and, if you are accepted, to invite you to the club's events by email.
Who receives your data: the administrators of the club and the following service providers, which process data on our behalf: Netlify (hosting and processing of the form; USA); Google (Google Sheets, where applications are stored, and Gmail, which we use to reply to you); Telegram (notifications to the administrators about applications); and, if you are accepted, Mailchimp, a service of Intuit (USA), which we use to send invitations to events.
Transfer abroad: some of these providers process data outside Switzerland, in particular in the USA, where the level of data protection may differ from Swiss law. By submitting the form you agree to your data being transferred to these providers, including in the USA.
Spam protection: the form uses a hidden field and a minimum filling time to filter out automated submissions. We do not store the sender's IP address with your application. As for every page request, your IP address is processed in the hosting provider's server logs for a limited time (see “Hosting and server logs”).
Invitations sent through Mailchimp may record whether you opened an email and which links you clicked. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
Retention: rejected applications are deleted after 12 months. The data of members is kept for as long as you are a member of the club.
You may ask us at any time what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent, by writing to info@swissatmosphera.ch.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection you may request information about, correction or deletion of your personal data and object to its processing. Write to info@swissatmosphera.ch. You may also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes
We may update this notice when the website or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page.
